The 2016 Alberta Epigenetics Network Annual Summit extends an invitation for submission of abstracts towards presentations and posters at this year’s summit. The summit is scheduled for March 21-23, 2016 in picturesque Banff, Alberta. Please see summit schedule for details.
AEN annual summit tracks:
Group 1. Biomedical Research: Topics include Precision/Personalized medicine, Cancer biology, Inflammatory diseases, Infectious diseases, Cardiovascular and Neuro biology, Molecular genetics, Developmental Biology and Aging – both Basic and Clinical (this could also include clinical trials data presentation)
Group 2. Agriculture and Environment: Topics include Forestry, Plants, Livestock, Environmental toxicology
Group 3. Bioinformatics and Computational Biology: Topics include Computational biology, Diagnostic assays, Biomarkers etc.
Group 4. Technology Commercialization: Topics include Knowledge Translation, intellectual property protection and commercialization of Genomics/Epigenetics technologies. We have some select industry partners present in this session.
Note: AEN Summit will include a ‘Young Investigators Session’ with oral presentation (about 6, each of 10-15 mins duration). Please indicate in your submission if you would like your abstract to be considered for the session.
Who should attend?
Researchers from academic and non-academic institutes in Alberta (open to researchers from outside of Alberta and Canada as well), Companies and other governmental organizations undertaking research in the above identified areas, involved in policy making and in development of technologies to support research in above identified areas.
AEN members are strongly urged to attend and share their work with their colleagues.
Advantages of attending the AEN Summit
The Alberta Epigenetics Network (AEN) is a multidisciplinary multi-institutional consortium of researchers and practitioners in Alberta (and beyond) focused on understanding the role epigenetics plays in their respective fields of study. Being pan‐Alberta driven and international in scope, the AEN connects multiple stakeholders around areas of common interest to share knowledge, experience, challenges, and resources. The knowledge creation accelerated by the Network and its members will lead to technologies and applications that will improve the health and social and economic well being of all Albertans. A major goal of the summit is to stimulate creation of mini-networks leading to multi-disciplinary projects across Alberta and Canada.
$160.00 per attendee (for academic members only).
